Iowa Businesses Against Trafficking (IBAT) is a statewide recognition and education program from the Iowa Secretary of State's office, empowering businesses to help in the fight to end human trafficking through trainings and outreach opportunities. Join today and help make Iowa a trafficking-free state. Membership in IBAT is open to any business or nonprofit organization that operates in the State of Iowa and shares a commitment to taking steps to promote awareness of human trafficking and the Iowa Safe at Home program, an address confidentiality program for survivors of human trafficking and other violent crimes administered by the Iowa Secretary of State's Office.

Youth Initiatives
As part of the office’s efforts to increase voter education, registration, and participation, the office administers a number of civic engagement programs, including:
Carrie Chapman Catt Award: a voter registration initiative tailored for Iowa high schools
Elections 101: an elections curriculum crafted by Iowa teachers, for Iowa teachers
Iowa Youth Straw Poll: a mock election that gives Iowa students a hands-on election experience
John Lewis Youth Leadership Award: an award program to honor young Iowans for outstanding contributions to their communities
Internships: opportunities for active college students to receive valuable career experiences and college credit
